Prerana, the inner urge which is present in every soul, is a constant, continuous and never-changing force inspiring and guiding human development. Prerana Montessori was set up to nurture this vital, natural force and ‘help the children to help themselves’.

Chitra and Anantha Padmanabha started this institute through the Dhanasu Educational Trust in 2001-02 with the noble vision of becoming a means to help young people live for themselves.

Having worked with young parents and children since 1996, the couple realized that complete professional training of oneself was essential to bring up worthy children. Having gone through the Indian Montessori Training Course, the couple decided to dedicate themselves to the cause of children through the Montessori method.

Several batches of children have graduated from Prerana and joined prestigious neighboring schools. At Prerana, not only do we have a decade-plus experience of working with children, but we are also driven by a passion for children. Thus, we have won the hearts of both young people and their parents.

Adhering to the pure Montessori way, we offer a highly scientific and suitable environment for a child’s development. We know that all children want to learn in their own way, at their own pace and according to their own choice. Being strong believers in offering freedom at this stage of life, Prerana’s children are helped to lead a life of their own.

At Prerana, we believe in introducing basic Indian cultural values. Telling stories, singing rhymes and bhajans and doing drawing and painting in a unique way has ensured that we build a strong foundation for our children’s future growth.

Prerana considers parents an important part of the institute -- We conduct mass and individual parents’ meetings on various topics and offer individual counseling and orientation programs for parents and grandparents.
